Japanese "Form" as Fiction

  • Forms are fictions we artificially make.

    • They are ways of viewing/thinking-of/becoming-conscious-of things.

    • Especially, it is wrong to see forms as attributes of things.

    • Real (thing) v.s. Fiction (form)

  • Example : "Circle" does not exist as a real thing.

What is present as a real thing is

      • Things where we abstract the form of "circle".
      • Our practice of making "circle".
